I am currently working for a big company that is quite cheap. They don’t like to update out dated technology and it is making my job harder. I run an old computer and I am due for an upgrade. I know they would buy me another one if this “died”, because I’ve seen them do it.

How would I go about sabotaging the HARDWARE to make the computer appear dead without it being obvious what I did. Nobody is going to investigate it any deeper than turning it on and seeing that it doesn’t work or is clearly buggy and unusable.

Anyone know any tricks such as sticking a magnet on the hard drive or crossing some wires somewhere. I’d like to burn out the motherboard to avoid the possibility of just replacing a hard drive (because they know i know how to do it).

Help me out here folks, oh and please spare me the speeches on doing the right thing. I make this company alot of money and they have the cash flow to buy another computer. It will make me alot more efficient.
