I’ve tried using the USB firewire cord to make a conneciton between my Sony Digital 8 Camcorder – Model # is DCR-TRV460. I’ve tried it on both XP and Vista, and cant seem to get the computer to upload the videos that I have on the tape inside of the camera.

I’ve tried to download the drivers off of the sony esupport website, no such luck in getting this thing to work.

Any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

I recently just installed windows xp on my new computer. I had the same headset from my old computer and it worked fine but when I installed windows xp it is now saying the device cannot be installed correctly because there is not istallation hardware. It is a plug and play USB headset through logitech. I have the service pack 2 and should be able to just plug it in set it up and use it. INstead I have a (code 28) and it is not letting me use it. I have been to the Logitech website and there are no drivers. IT is a plug and play device and it is compatible with my computer as well.
I was just using the headset not even two weeks ago on the old computer. Unless they have drastically changed everything in two weeks I doubt it. Also it is not just logitech that will not work I just had a friend bring his over which is an Altec LAnsing USB headset. He was using it on his game not more then 5 minutes ago… it will not work on my computer. He is running XP as well and has almost the same system as me.
I have tried plugging the headset into all of the different USB ports. That is not the issue either. The issue is that the computer is seeing the headset as pyshical hardware and not as plug and play hardware. It wants to install the headsets with drivers and make them a permenant cozy little spot on my comp but they are meant to be inplugged and plugged in over an over again thus calling it plug and play. I think at this point it is not recognizing the device type. If there are NO drivers made for these headsets then how can I install the “hardware drivers” ???
